Casual Connect Europe: bratwurst and free research!
Like every year, we’ll be in Hamburg this February for Casual Connect Europe. It’s one of our favorite industry events because, well, it comes with bratwurst and free research!
The nice people from Casual Games Association recently announced the release of Social Network Games 2012, an overview report on the social games industry. We’re proud to have been part of the effort, of course. You can download the .pdf below.
If you’re going to be in Hamburg, don’t forget to check out The Economics of Living Outside the Box by our very own Joost van Dreunen. He’ll be sharing a few insights on the difference in economics between boxed and online games. Here’s the abstract:
“In only a few short years, the games industry has made a dramatic change from selling boxed products to digitally downloadable and browser-based games. This shift affects everything from game design to publishing, distribution and revenue generation. In this lecture, I will discuss key market forces in the industry’s new ecosystem, how game companies can make the most out of them, and what to expect next. Central to this presentation is the use of current market data and primary research. The audience will gain a better understanding of the overall games market and its drivers. No previous knowledge on the subject is required.”
If you’d like to meet, shoot us a line!
